Frequently Asked questions

All of those little questions that you were thinking, well here they are easy to find.

Below is a selection of questions I usually get asked, I understand this is a big day for you and hopefully these will help you to understand myself and the process a little better.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions.

How do I book?

Simply get in touch to check availability for your date and location, then we will arrange a booking call to go through the finer details of your day. Such as timings, venue details, and information about you. Closer to your wedding (usually about 6 weeks before) we have a recap and check if any of the finer details have changed. The only other thing I need at that stage is your photography shot list, with names of family groups, etc. Then that is it! I come and capture your day and your amazing memories.

How do we meet you & prepare for our wedding day?

We have at least 1 meeting before your day, either via video message or in person. I then take notes on the styles and ideas you have about your day, and the photography styles you like. I have a structure to my usual wedding shoot and plan everything with the details you provide me to ensure everything is ticked off and captured for you.

What styles do you take?

I like to capture your days in a relaxed and simple way, I am not one for very staged and produced photos. I find more natural candid images of the day capture the details and often missed moments. However, I will work with you to capture your memories the way you like. If you see a certain style of photograph save it and send it me over, I can then make sure we're both on the same page for your day.

What do you need to know from me?

Ideally, your names, wedding date, and the location is a start. I will then try to get to know more about you in the meetings we have and build a bond and connection before your day.

How long have you been doing this?

My first professional standalone wedding was in 2009, however before then I had been a second camera on other weddings and had been taking photos for myself for years before.

How much is your booking fee?

Your booking fee is payable to secure your date and is one of the first stages of the process. This is 25% of your chosen package. The reason I charge this is, this secures your date, and I then no longer market the date as available to new enquiries. The booking fee is transferrable if your date did need to change. The balance of your wedding would then be due 1 month before your special day. I do accept people paying in installments too, simply ask me for information on that.

Can I adjust my package after booking?

Yes, of course, some clients book their package to secure the day, and then add options such as bridal preparations or extra time at the end of the day, even adding an album or prints on. This is not a problem. As your booking fee secures your date and I only ever shoot 1 wedding a day, so we can adjust and add on after booking if you like.

How long does it take to get the images back?

I aim to get all edited images back to clients within 4 weeks, the only time that this can be affected is on the “peak” wedding months when sometimes I have been 6 weeks.

Do you offer albums & prints?

Yes, I do, all packages come with digital images for you, however, I do create and produce coffee table style wedding albums and have printing options available. This does take one more thing off your list after the wedding, as you will have all these lovely images, that usually you do not get round to printings and displaying.
